The Experience

A week above the Arctic Circle. The Lyngen peninsula, nestled between dramatic fjords and beautiful mountains, is a true ski touring paradise.

Skiing with the impression of diving into the sea. We will combine the unparalleled charm of starting straight from the beach with your skins to conquer peaks that offer breathtaking views, where the descents end just a few meters from the fjord's deep blue waters.

Aboard our exclusive sailing boat, we will sail daily in search of a new anchorage, moving flexibly to find the best snow and the safest conditions for skiing.

Adventure Details 

• Duration: 8 days (6 full days of ski touring + 2 travel days - 1 before and 1 after).

• Base: Spacious and comfortable sailing boat, fully equipped for Arctic conditions.

• Start/End: Tromso.

• Exclusive Group: Maximum 7 guests, ensuring an intimate and personalised experience.

• UIAGM Mountain Guide: I have decades of experience in the Arctic environment from the Lyngen Alps to Svalbard and I proudly lead successful groups on this Sail & Ski itinerary for multiple weeks every year, ensuring an adventure built on profound knowledge and safety.

• Experienced Skipper: The boat will be expertly navigated by a seasoned Skipper with deep knowledge of Nordic waters, guaranteeing safe sailing.

What to Expect

• 6 days of pure Ski Touring with mostly "sea-view" ascents and descents.

• A chance to witness the Northern Lights (Aurora Borealis) dancing above the Lyngen Alps (depending on the period).

• A new ski spot to explore every day, often accessible only by sea.

• The possibility of enjoying a traditional Norwegian sauna at select piers along the route, a perfect way to relax after skiing.

• Overnight stays in double cabins or bunk bed aboard the boat — your "floating base camp" in a majestic setting.

• Full Board (Breakfast, Lunch, and Dinner) served on board the boat. Enjoy delicious, hearty meals perfect for refuelling after a day on the slopes, including the opportunity to savor some of Norway's finest salmon. Non-alcoholick beverages included.
